The poems of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell are their first and a collection of poems jointly published in 1846 by Brontë's three sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne. To avoid the prejudice of the time against female writers, the Brontë sisters adopted masculine names. This collection of poems was not a great success, but it was an opportunity to focus on writing novels.

에밀리 제인 브론테(1818 ~ 1848)는 영국의 소설가이다. 《폭풍의 언덕》은 그녀의 대표작이자 유일한 소설 작품이며, 해당 작품은 고전 영국 문학 걸작으로서 대우받는다. 브론테가의 살아남은 네남매 가운데 셋째였던 그녀는 언니인 샬럿 브론테와 막내여동생 앤 브론테와 함께 시집을 출판하기도 했다.
